// not a participant, just an observer.

Just another 22 year old "art kid" from Baltimore. I don't specifically identify with anything or anyone but I guess I'm interested in bits and pieces of punk/goth/hippie culture. Aside from going to shows, my hobbies are mostly pretty grandmotherly like embroidering, drinking tea, and petting cats. I think a lot and I like being alone. This is mostly where I post arbitrary images as a way to constantly be thinking about art - like a running mood board, if you will. Occasionally I write about an observation I've made relating to art or life.

Disclaimer: My online "persona" is the result of a direct, unfiltered purge of thoughts from my brain. In person, all that is contained within, and I am actually rather friendly and able to "be nice" - often to the point of seeming boring.

As I was reading about how many cats get put out a year by shelters and almost crying over it because I am actually the same person as that eharmony crying cat lady (if anyone even remembers the video anymore), some girl on Facebook posted something about abortion and people are going batshit over it - long story short, it appears that she and her friends are opposed to it. My immediate thought before I really used my brain to formulate a rational thought was, “kill all the babies, why do you care because kids suck and then grow up and become sucky people and possibly sucky people that kill animals, why do we kill all these cats every day and no one cares or they say they care but then they don’t do anything about it, but people care about babies that aren’t even fully babies yet, WHAT ABOUT THE CATS, WHY IS THERE NO LAW FOR ANIMALS THEY HAVE IT THE WORST BECAUSE THEY CAN’T VOICE THEIR FEELINGS OR MAKE THEIR OWN CHOICES OR HAVE OPPOSABLE THUMBS”

This is all not a very good way to put it, but I really really wonder……

(ps: it’s 2.7 million healthy unadopted cats that get put out a year. approximately 1 cat every 11 seconds.)
